FAQ

Straight answers.

Are you a CPA firm?
No. PayPro Accounting does not use the CPA title and does not perform audits, reviews, or compilations. The work is bookkeeping, payroll administration, tax preparation, and plain-language advisory.
Do I need to be in Livonia?
No. The practice is based around Livonia, Detroit, and the rest of metro Detroit, and most of the monthly work happens on a shared file and a call. The first conversation can be in person or remote.
What do you need to start bookkeeping?
Access to the bank and card accounts, the sales system if you have one, and whatever file the books live in today. If that file is behind, say so. Catch-up is quoted separately.
How does payroll work if you do not move the money?
You keep a payroll system. We prepare the run in it and track the tax deposits and forms. Wages move through that system, not through this website.
Can you catch up a year of books?
Often, yes. We look at the months and the accounts first, then quote a project. We do not fold a year of reconstruction into a monthly fee.
How are fees set?
The prices on this site are starting points for a straightforward single-entity business. Transaction volume, headcount, entity type, and how far behind the books are all change the quote. You get the number before work starts.
Will you file sales tax?
When you collect sales tax and bookkeeping is part of the engagement, we prepare the worksheet the return is filed from. Filing logistics are confirmed in the engagement, not assumed.
What software do you use?
The one you already keep, when it is fit for the job. We will say so if a file should move. We do not require you to buy a tool from us.
How do documents get to you?
A shared folder or the access your bookkeeping file already has. The consultation is where we pick the path. Do not email a full set of bank statements to a public inbox if you can avoid it.
Does the consultation make me a client?
No. The form and the first conversation are how we decide whether the work fits. A client relationship starts with an engagement, not with a website message.
